Project Description

This is an image manipulation of Lane Staley, the Legendary former lead singer of Seattle grunge band Alice in chains. In the piece I symbolically state that although Lane is no longer among us his music will live on with the band. Not to mention that the new singer has the Lane's vocal pattern and harmonization down pat. Hence why I merged Staley's image on to the body of new AIC lead singer, William DuVall.

What you see above is the front and back covers of my zine on the return of Alice in Chains. An editorial that I have written personally when I got wind of the new album called Black Gives Way To Blue. The cover shows the body of the groups current singer William DuVall overlapped by the portrait of their former vocalist Lane Staley.

As you can plainly see, I was going for a torn look that give the illusion that half of the front cover has been ripped somewhat revealing the new vocalist.
